Beth Bouffard
bio
Originally from Ottawa, Beth Bouffard currently lives and paints full-time on the north shore of Lake Huron near Whitefish Falls. She completed her B.A. in Fine Arts at McMaster University. Beth’s artwork in various media has been in many group and solo shows over the past 4 decades. In 2007 Beth had a large solo show (Human/Nature) of her pastels in Toronto. In this work (and currently) Beth has been focusing on using local landscape elements as metaphors for the human condition. Beth will be having another solo show at the Sudbury Theatre Centre Oct/Nov 2008.
Beth has received many awards for her paintings and has been chosen to be the “Distinguished Artist” for the 31st Annual La Cloche Art Show in July 2008.
Beth’s work is in many private and public collections (including the Province of Ontario).
She is a member of Visual Arts Ontario, The Pastel Society of Eastern Canada (Signature status), Pastel Artists Canada and the Group of Five.
