Merle Canjar

Merle Canjar, born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, relocated to Espanola Ontario in 1969. She has studied in oil, pencil, clay and taxidermy. In 1996, Merle, drawn to expressing her art in watercolour, sought the training and guidance of watercolour professionals in Canada, the United States and Europe. In addition to being a member of the Bay of Islands Group of Five, Merle is past president of the La Cloche Guild. Recently she has begun creating small vignettes using fish-bones inset within shadow boxes.
