Irvin Elwood Marshall

Irvin Elwood Marshall is an Aboriginal artist, writer, designer, muralist, teacher and organizer. Irvin was the winner of the 2004 Northwestern Ontario Technology Centre’s Idea Factory Challenge. He was given the opportunity to transform his thoughts into images and events of expression. Marshall is an accomplished muralist and has competed nationally in both the Quebec Annual Snow sculpturing Competitions and Attractions Canada’s Snow Sculpturing competitions. He is also a published writer and has organized special events in Ontario and Prince Edward Island.
Description of Work;
My work is in keeping with the Native teachings, whereby we all all beings. The trees, the water, the mountains are all beings with a spirit. In my images I will express the spirit the mountain has left with me. It is known as the white mountain but I feel but I see it with many colours.
