Bio

Linda’s desire for a career in art began in early childhood. She enjoys painting portrait and landscape images. Linda’s 13-year professional art career has expanded to include images of Northern Ontario and her ancestral homeland - Scotland. Linda paints full time at her art studio beside her home on Manitoulin Island. Linda believes that her ability has been derived from a combination of natural talent and something learned. Linda has received a certificate in the fundamentals of commercial art. She has a BA in Psychology and also has a certificate in Herbology.

It is said that Manitoulin Island is where the spirits play. Art can express how a society relates to nature, its delicacy and power. Art can communicate emotion and ultimately uplift spiritually. Through the use of oil and canvas, Linda hopes to convey the peace and tranquility that the landscape can bring to the viewer. Linda believes that art has a purpose, through style and discipline art can speak. Favorite Quote....."Imagination is more important than knowledge." Albert Einstein
